There are 260 different types of monkeys and they are separated into 2 categories: Old World and New World. Their scientific name is Cercopithecidae.
Monkeys are omnivores, meaning they eat meat. They also eat some plant-based foods. They eat things such as nuts, fruits, seeds, and flowers.
They mostly live in rainforests in places like Africa, Asia, and Central and South America.
Did you know that monkeys use grooming to strengthen relationships and that some monkeys called Japanese Macaques enjoy soaking in volcanic hot springs?
